The Queen's University School of Music is housed in the building that is known by many Queen's alumni as 'The Old Students' Union'.

The new Q.U.B Students' Union was opened in 1967.

Queen's University Belfast is commonly referred to as "Queen's" or "Q.U.B". The Lanyon Building above was designed by Belfast architect Sir Charles Lanyon and opened in 1849.
